WHY THE PLUS ADD-ON?
Precise measuring and control
Shelly Plus Add-on is a galvanically isolated sensor interface for all Shelly Plus relays. Use the Add-on to measure temperature and humidity via its 1-Wire ports or connect various analog and digital sensors for complex automations and higher efficiency.
Highly compatible
The Shelly Plus Add-on is compatible with most Arduino sensors! Use the digital or analog inputs to measure your desired parameters and create complex automation scenes based on the sensor data.
APPLICATION EXAMPLES
Garage door control
You can connect a reed switch sensor to the digital sensor of the Shelly Plus Add-on and monitor the status of your garage door. This way, you always know whether it is open or closed and can respond accordingly.
WATER HEATING
Heat your water to an optimal temperature
Cover your daily needs without wasting anything! With the Shelly PM relays, you can determine the optimal energy requirement for heating the water in your tankless water heater. In combination with a temperature sensor, the Shelly relays can automatically turn off the water heater when the optimal temperature is reached.
Keep the warmth inside the house
Together with an LDR (photoresistor), the Shelly Plus Add-on can cause the Shelly Plus 2PM to close the blinds when direct sunlight shines on your windows and heats up the room. This way, the air conditioner doesn't have to compensate for the heat by increasing power consumption, saving energy. And don’t worry about losing the pleasant daylight! As soon as the sun changes position, the blinds automatically open again.
An awning that follows the weather
Motorized outdoor awnings offer your guests pleasant shade on sunny days. However, strong, uncontrolled wind can irreparably damage them. By combining with a wind sensor connected to the Shelly Plus Add-on, Shelly Plus 2PM can automatically close the awning to protect it from wind. Additionally, the Shelly Plus Add-on with a rain sensor can make the Shelly Plus 2PM open the awning in time to protect your guests.
Irrigation only when needed
A beautiful garden is no easy task, and automating your irrigation system can save you time and optimize your costs. Together with a soil moisture sensor, Shelly Plus Add-on can make the Shelly Plus 1 turn on irrigation only when needed and skip rainy days.
Motion-controlled lights
Shelly Plus Add-on can also be connected to a motion sensor to light rooms you occasionally use in the house. When you enter the room, the light stays on as long as you need it.
